Biography

Taught elementary, middle, and high school orchestra in School Dist. of Waukesha for 22 yrs. Taught in Waukesha String Académie since co-founding the program in 2009. Prior to teaching in Waukesha, taught violin at Lawrence Univ. Arts Academy in Appleton, WI. BM (violin performance), Bachelor of Music Education, MM (violin performance) from Indiana Univ Jacobs School of Music.


Undergraduate student at Baptist College of Ministry minoring in Music Performance and Pedagogy.


Retired Orchestra director at Oconomowoc HS and MS, and Nature Hill Intermediate and Silver Lake Intermediate Schools. He has served as a WSMA judge and is currently the Chair of the WSMA Middle-Level Honors Committee. Has self-published a number of original compositions for string orchestra. BFA with a major in music education from UW-Milwaukee; Master of Music Education from UW-Whitewater. He has performed with the Wisconsin Philharmonic, the Oconomow0c Chamber Orchestra, and the Waukesha Choral Union Orchestra.


Bachelor of Music (violin performance) Univ of Iowa, a graduate assistant at Univ of North Carolina-Greensboro, a teaching certificate in K-12 music at Iowa State Univ. Has taught for Waterloo, Iowa, and Waukesha Public Schools, several Suzuki programs, and is a specialist in Paul Rolland and Mimi Zweig pedagogy. Has performed with Greensboro NC Symphony, Des Moines IA Symphony, and Waukesha Symphony (Wis. Phil.) Member of Lake View Quartet. Also teaches for Falls Baptist Academy.
